This is not really model related , but this is the forum this fits best in . This deer has a lot of meaning to me . It's the 30th deer that I killed . Not the biggest or best deer but still a good hunt . The spot that I made the shot from is where I remeber seeing my first deer when I was about 6 or 7 years old . Kind of a simple set up for this one . The empty shell casing is the one I made the shot with I picked it up after a week or so of letting it weather . I need to do a grey wash to bring the lined out a bit better . Thanks for looking , Toad .

Nice symmetry on the rack. A small brass plate with the date of the kill and "30" scribed on it might be a nice little touch, (mounted on the bottom of the wood base).

Thanks , I might write the date and # on the back Steve . 16 guage thats a 7 mm Rem Mag shell - note the belt at the bottom of the casing . I have used this rifle for the past 11 years , changed scopes once and used a few different bullets . I can say this will be the rifle I use as long as I hunt . I started with a .243 , I had to shoot my first deer twice so I went up a little bit after that . Later , Toad .

Thanks Turrettoad.
Now that you mention it I can find the band through the weathering.

And once again you did great job on it.

It took me a while to find this pic . The deer had a bit more brown in the face than I remeber . He was a bit light as well .
